Our Team
Dr. Anderson obtained his DVM from Iowa State University in 1999. He is originally from Stuart, IA where he grew up on a diverse family farm with hogs, cattle and row crops. Dr. Anderson recently served as the 2013 American Association of Swine Veterinarians President. He currently resides with his family in Algona, IA.
Matt Anderson
VETERINARIAN
Dr. Distad graduated with his DVM in 2001 from the University of Minnesota. He was raised in Kasson-Mantorville, MN and got his interest in swine production while working at a 1200 breed to wean farm while attending undergraduate studies. He is a 2009 graduate of the Executive Veterinary Program and specializes in boar stud consultation. He and his wife currently resides in Hoffman, MN.
Todd Distad
VETERINARIAN
Dr. Kelly was raised on a farm in Indiana, helping to raise pigs and row crops. He graduated from Purdue University with his DVM in 2003 and has worked at Suidae ever since. Today, he continues to enjoy helping people raise pigs as their veterinarian. His main interests are health consulting and production trouble-shooting. He currently resides with his family in Algona, IA.
Jason Kelly

Dr. Stricker grew up on a small swine and grain farm near St. Ansgar, IA. She is a 2008 graduate from Iowa State University, College of Veterinary Medicine where she also obtained a Masters degree in Veterinary Microbiology. Dr. Stricker was named Young Swine Veterinarian of the Year in 2013. She currently resides with her family St. Ansgar, IA.
Amber Stricker

Originally from a small swine and cattle farm near Gilbert, IA. Dr. Schwartz obtained his DVM from Iowa State University in 2013. He then went on to practice at Monticello Veterinary Clinic, a mixed animal clinic before he joined Suidae in the spring of 2014. He will be a 2022 graduate of the Executive Veterinary Program, and currently resides with his family in Lake City, IA.
Trevor Schwartz

Dr. Deegan received his DVM from the University of Minnesota in 2018 and took a job with Suidae right out of veterinary school. He is originally from St. Paul, MN and developed his interest for swine medicine and production through his undergraduate and veterinary studies. He currently resides in Sauk Centre, MN with his family.
Chris Deegan

Dr. Burton is originally from Mt. Prospect, IL, a suburb of Chicago and attended the University of Illinois where she received a BS in Animal Sciences 2015 and her DVM in 2019. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Iowa to start her career with Suidae. Dr. Burton splits her time between veterinary services and field research. She currently resides with her family in Humboldt, IA.
Brandi Burton

Dr. Finch received his DVM from Iowa State University in 2021 and started with Suidae following graduation. He grew up in NW Iowa where he developed an interest in swine health and production working at his dad's veterinary clinic and on local pig farms. He was involved with swine research during undergrad and vet school, and prior to vet school he worked for two years as a swine production specialist for Purina Animal Nutrition in NW Iowa. He currently live in Norfolk, Nebraska with his wife and two daughters.

Amanda Reever
VETERINARIAN
Dr. Reever was raised on a cattle, hog, and grain operation in Algona, IA, where she developed her interest in animal production and medicine. She received her DVM from Iowa State University in 2022, alongside a Master’s degree in Veterinary Preventive Medicine. Dr. Reever began working for Suidae right out of veterinary school, and she now resides with her husband in Manson, Iowa.
